Free Nainital from the Monkey and Stray Dog Menace.

The menace of stray dogs and simians has been plaguing Nainital for a while. In a span of less than 6 months, two innocent lives have been lost. A tourist girl died, after being chased by stray dogs, when she fell into a ditch. Yesterday, another girl fell down from the stairs while running to alarm her family about a troop of monkeys trying to enter her house. The girl died on way to a better hospital 40 kms away. It has become absolutely dangerous for children and the elderly to walk on the otherwise quiet and safe streets of Nainital. Even during the Nainital half-marathon, some athletes were bitten by the stray dogs.
There is always the danger of encountering a pack of dogs everywhere in the town or monkeys in the quaint roads. Most of these animals thrive on the heap of garbage lying in the open dustbins put up by the Municipal Board at various points in Nainital. These dustbins are not even cleared regularly.
I request you sir to direct the authorities to provide a timely and effective solution to the problem so that the children, the elderly and the average citizen of this peaceful town walks in peace.
I thank you in anticipation.
