Equal pay for Equal work

Very recently Supreme Court of India passed a judgement upholding the constitutional principal of equal pay for Equal work in the case of Jagjit Singh vs. state of Punjab. Wherein the court has stated that all the ad-hoc, temporary , contractual workers are entitled to an equal pay for Equal work.
I am starting this petition to bring notice to the concerned authorities that a large number of qualified teachers are working in contractual position, some for more than 10 years at Dibrugarh University, assam and not only in this university but in many universities around the country contractual teachers are employed and are payed a very nominal salary.
Although being qualified in every aspect and doing the same amount of work or may be more sometimes but when it comes to payment of salary they are all denied their due share. These teachers are in most of the cases are not part of the teachers association formed by the other regular teachers.
As said by Supreme court it is fallacious to determine artificial parameters to deny fruit of labour specially in a welfare state. Anyone who is compelled to work at a lesser wage does not do so voluntarily. He does so to provide food and shelter to his family.
Hence I start this petition and request everyone to sign this petition so that the issues that the contractual teachers have are brought to the notice of concerned authorities and the plight and the hardships that the contractual teachers particularly working at Dibrugarh university and all such teachers working in different universities of indiafacing comes to an end and government creates a proper legislation or rules to address such problems.
