It has been widely acknowledged throughout the legal fraternity that married women are falsely and unscrupulously invoking Sec . 377 IPC against their husbands after the Supreme Court of India judgement in the matter of Arnesh Kumar vs State Of Bihar & Anr on 2 July, 2014, ensure arrest of the husband in case of matrimonial disputes.
It is time that the law as it stands today is amended immediately to prevent misuse of S. 377 IPC in cases of matrimonial disputes.
