The situation at the Greek-Turkish boarder has is critical as thousands of refugees are attempting to cross over from Turkey to Greece and being met by violence from the Greek authorities, including tear gas and live ammunition fire. While Turkey is using refugees as a tool for geopolitical pressure, Greece has suspended the asylum-seeking process in violation of international law, creating a humanitarian crisis and further endangering thousands of lives.

We demand:

Greece and Turkey stop violating international law at the boarder! Asylum processing must resume immediately based on international rules and guidelines

That the European Union increases it’s financial and infrastructural support to Greece for the humane and legal treatment of refugees and migrants crossing to Europe through Turkey and the processing of asylum applications.

The European Union ensures that there is a fair distribution of asylum-granted refugees throughout all member countries, without disproportionately burdening entry countries.
