Government has decided to handover escoms to private companies leading to privatisation of public administrative companies. If power sector is privatised it will affect all its employees, industrialists and irrigation pump set consumers. 
For example, during lockdowns employees of the departments have worked 24x7 to provide uninterrupted power supply to covid hospitals, power storage units. If it was private company, who on the earth will risk their life? Government sector gives security to employees and their family. Hence they work without thinking of fatal accidents, corona time etc. 
further, private company won’t allow irrigation pump set consumers to avail free power supply. Instead they will fix meter and charge  as they won’t work without benefits. All consumer electricity bills will multiply in future. Hence a public organisation like electricity department work as a government body.
