The Declaration is intended to support nature conservationists throughout the region, who face dramatic threats and destruction to the environment and nature in general.

Kako ne uspevamo da se izborimo sa problemima u oblasti zaštite prirode, životne sredine i poštovanja zakona, svih zemalja balkanskog regiona, pokrenuli smo inicijativu za regionalnu saradnju radi jačanja solidarnosti i uticaja lokalnih inicijativa. 

U svim zemljama Balkana postoje brojna žarišta koje brane lokalni aktivisti, a od životnog su značaja za ceo region. Inicijative često ostaju izolovane, bez šire podrške i oslonjene samo na svoje snage.  Bez solidarnosti šireg fronta snaga za zaštitu prirode, umanjuju se šanse za rešavanje problema koji daleko prevazilaze okvire lokalnog. 

Verujemo da je transparentna platforma za saradnju neophodna i da bi takva platforma omogućila veći nivo solidarnosti i udruživanje snaga, kao i prevazilaženje problema mešanja interesnih grupa u rad autentičnih inicijativa.

As the situation gets worse from year to year and as we fail to deal with problems in the field of nature protection, environment, and law, all countries in the Balkan region, we launched an initiative for regional cooperation to strengthen solidarity and the impact of local initiatives. 

In all Balkan countries, there are numerous hotspots defended by local activists, which are vital for the entire region. Initiatives often remain isolated, without broader support, and rely solely on their own strengths. Without the solidarity of the wider front of the nature protection forces, the chances of solving problems that go far beyond the local framework are diminished. 

We believe that a transparent platform for cooperation is necessary and that such a platform would enable a higher level of solidarity and pooling of forces, as well as overcoming the problem of interference of stakeholders in the work of authentic initiatives.
