If we allow "tenting" or make shift "homes" of any sort to take place in our public parks, in our residential areas,  next door to our schools, we are endangering our communities, especially the vulnerable elderly and children. This sort of arrangement brings drug needles, garbage and rats, violence and noise pollution and crime to our door steps! If we allow just one tent to go up...many will follow and the situation will go on forever...such as it does at Meagher Park. We demand better solutions to be found, ones that do not put our children in direct danger. We demand our Park to remain a public park for our community to collectively be able to enjoy and feel safe using. We demand that Mayor Savage and his people find a better solution for all of us and keep tenting out of our Saunders Park and surrounding residential and school zone parks!
