The Council have proposed parking restrictions on Manor Road, Telford Road and Shenley Lane in London Colney. We as residents completely oppose this due to the inconvenience it will cause us. Drop off and Pick up times for the school take 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the afternoon, and living close to the school, we accept the road is busy at those times. However, by installing parking restrictions, the volume of traffic will not reduce, but just be pushed further round the roads causing more danger to children, and an inconvenience to residents 365 days a year. Not all houses have driveways, and how are we meant to have visitors over when they can't park outside our house. The school should consider staggered pick up times to space out the traffic, which we know from our own experience works with other schools.
