Why this petition matters

Started by Tyana Butler

Growing up in the Foster Care system, I experienced and witnessed abuse of all types. Children are innocent and must be protected at all costs.  No child should have to live in danger, especially while in Foster Care. A place meant to protect children. No child should have to wonder how they are going to survive day to day.

Our goal is to provide the public with access to data on Convicted Child Abusers Nationwide. Anyone convicted of child abuse should have their name listed on a national registry for a period of no less than life. (Mae's Law also known as NCAR) National Child Abuser Registry.  Those listed on this Registry should not be allowed to come into contact with any children.

Similar to the National Sex Offender Public Website, we want to bring awareness and prevent Convicted Child Abusers from potentially abusing more children.

By providing parents, employers, and the general public with information on convicted Child Abuser's place of residence, work, and presence in our schools and other nearby communities in hopes of preventing more children from being abused.

Without this information,  Convicted Child Abusers can hide and continue to hurt our children repeatedly. With NCAR (National Child Abuser Registry), everyone everywhere can keep track and do their part in protecting our Kids.
