Petition to Add A New Class to the TVCC Ocoee Race for 2022 and beyond.

Petition to Add A New Class to the TVCC Ocoee Race for 2022 and beyond.
This petition is to the Board of Officers at the Tennessee Valley Canoe Club, formally requesting that a new class be added to all further racing events on the Middle Ocoee River located outside of Ocoee, Tennessee.
The new class is to represent the best selling kayaks in America and the boats owned by the large majority of paddlers, adding a new route to bring paddlers into this side of the sport. This is criminally overdue in twelve years of Ocoee River racing under TVCC, as no boats of the new class have been allowed to compete with each other up to this point.
This class, heretofore referred to as the "Sundolphin" class will have no length or weight limitations, but all boats must be of a recreational grade as supplied from common recreational suppliers, including Walmart, Dick's Sporting Goods or Academy Sports, heretofore referred to as "Walmart". Paddles must also be of a "Walmart" grade and backups may be brought in the boat. Helmets, Spray Skirts, Inflation Bags and Personal Floatation Devices may be of a higher grade. Spray skirts may be attached to boats with duct tape as necessary and duct tape may also be used to repair boats as needed. Outfitting may be customized as necessary. All boats shall be widely available for less than $400 brand new.
If all entrants in the "Sundolphin" class are subject to total failure, the winner shall be the entrant who makes it the furthest down the river. If the boat of an entrant in the "Sundolphin" class is subject to total failure, entrants may remove all pieces of the boat from the river and run all pieces to the finish line along the road. Failure to remove all pieces from the river and get them to the finish line will result in disqualification.
If you agree and want to see these widely adored boats compete, please sign below.
