President Trump: Keep Your Promises on Jerusalem

For the past eight years, Israel has suffered the abuse of the abysmal Middle East policy of a hostile Obama Administration in the United States. Israel-supporting Americans were influenced by candidate Donald Trump's promises to improve relations and be the best friend Israel ever had in the White House. Candidate Trump promised repeatedly to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.
But recent rhetoric from President Trump and his staff hints at new overtures to the kleptocracy that is the Palestinian Authority (the PA). There are statements by Trump staff referring to new initiatives to broker "agreements" between "Palestine" and Israel. And now, Trump advisers and spokespersons refuse to acknowledge Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel. This ambiguity continues to perpetuate harmful expectations of further territorial concessions on the part of Israel, including Jerusalem. It emboldens the enemies of Israel and America.
It is time to end the ambiguity. A firm commitment to a unified Jerusalem will end the international controversy, that has become a festering wound to be exacerbated by the enemies of western civilization. There has never been a nation of "Palestine" and Jerusalem is the spiritual capital of the Jewish People and the national capital of the Jewish State.
President Trump's upcoming visit to Jerusalem and the Western Wall, as part of a broader Middle East sojourn, coincides with the 50th anniversary of Jerusalem's unification. We urge President Trump to make good on his promises. Officially acknowledge Israeli sovereignty over its capital, the unified Jerusalem. Establish the U.S. Embassy in Israel, as America places its embassies in every other country, in Israel's capital, Jerusalem.
