We believe President Trump’s next act of mercy should come swiftly for everyone serving federal time for marijuana drug cases.  Not one person in the history of our nation has overdosed on marijuana. And yet, people are serving life without parole for a plant that is now legal for medicinal use in 30 states and legal for recreational use in 10 states, plus Washington DC.  Cannabis has become a billion dollar legal industry, for some, while others rot in prison for federal conspiracy cases - including people who thought they were compliant with the laws of their state for medical marijuana.

The CAN-DO Foundation submitted a list of clemency candidates to the White House as reported in the Washington Examiner. One list was comprised solely of 22 people serving time for marijuana-only offenses.  Most of these individuals have already served over 10 years!  This outrage must be corrected, posthaste.

During the course of my advocacy at the CAN-DO Foundation I have met numerous individuals who do not believe there are people serving time for pot, much less life without parole.  Therefore, I have included the names of several cannabis prisoners and a link to their profile pages. Most have individual petitions you can also sign and share.
