As we continue to hear about the strain that this pandemic is placing on our medical system, we should offer temporary licensing for our former Military Medics. I, for one, would gladly volunteer to assist with medical treatment, but am no longer licensed to do so. 

As medics, many of us have performed medical treatment in the most austere conditions and under gravest of threats. We retain extensive knowledge in both emergency medical care and routine treatment tasks. This experience is quite valuable in this crisis, and should be considered as a solution. 

I would be happy to assist in coordinating an effort, such as this, or simply participating to help our fellow Americans.
