Many wars have been occuring lately in Africa in Sudan,Libya,Somalia, and Syria and citizens have been forced to flee their native homeland .These immigrants have faced great peril at home and on their long journey via small boats to europe and many have landed on the shores of Malta. The United States have already accepted 1,000 families of the over 16,000 that have landed on Malta.Malta only has a population of 400,000 people and is a very small country.Malta is financially on the road to ruin and they have no where near the resources needed to deal with such a wave of immigrants.European law states that if you land on a country then you must stay there and are not able to move to another country in Europe and consider it asylum shopping. The immigrants are fingerprinted when they land and the prints are put in a database. These war survivors deserve to thrive. They want to be able to find work and support their families.I ask the United States to take in atleast another 1,000 families currently in Malta with no chance at a better life. Many of these immigrants are living in deplorable conditions. Please help Malta they are doing all they can but are extremely overwhelmed.
