Originally, the thought of a long-distance hiking trail from hot spring to hot spring was nothing more than a personal journey, but due to the incredible experiences I had during my travels, I became compelled to publish a guidebook so others could enjoy this adventure as well. 

"A great challenge with huge rewards."

That's what Drew Reams said after his spearhead journey becoming the first person to follow my guidebook and complete a major section of the 2,421-mile Hot Springs Trail. He went on to say:

 "I can easily see this route being the culminating capstone trail of the Quadruple Crown."

On the surface, this a trail to 100 hot spring areas, but deeper, it's an exploration of hot springs geology and culture. The purpose of a Hot Springs National Scenic Trail would be to unify these areas in a way that promotes community, economy, and stewardship. A Hot Springs National Scenic Trail would also serve to honor the work that has been put into the finding, building, and maintaining of these hot spring areas and the trails that can be used to connect them.
