Schools need to provide tampons and pads free of charge in women’s bathrooms. This morning I went to the bathroom because I felt that I had started my period. I had in fact started, but I realized that I didn’t have anything on me. I had to call a friend and wait almost ten minutes to get a tampon and I was late to class because of something natural. If I had a female teacher that I was close with, I could have explained the situation, but I had a male coach teacher and that would be very uncomfortable to explain to. So I strongly believe that school bathrooms should provide tampons and pads in the women’s stalls free of charge so that experiences like this don’t happen.
