Stop the cuts to PTA reimbursement

Stop the cuts to PTA reimbursement
The White House has proposed cuts to reimbursement for services provided to patients on Medicare by Physical Therapist Assistants by 15%. This will directly effect the income of more than 100 thousand educated, licensed clinicians across the Nation, and the services provided to more than 60 million patients on Medicare. These highly skilled and qualified healthcare professionals worked hard for their degrees and their licenses, and they continue to work hard to maintain those licenses.
As of 2019, there were 127,750 licensed physical therapist assistants in the United States, according to data from the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.
We are calling on President Biden to forgive the millions of dollars of student loan debt these clinicians have, since he is taking away the jobs that pay these health care professionals, and therefore, the means for them to continue making payments on these student loans. Or- Stop the reimbursement cuts that will undoubted end the careers of these clinicians.
PTAs have been subject to Medicare cuts multiple times over the last decade. Please, Mr. President, consider the lives that will be negatively impacted by more of these senseless cuts.
