Stop Indian Army From Starting A New War In Kashmir

Syria and Ukraine are terrible wars but Kashmir is the simmering war that can burn Asia and the world. The future of my children and yours is at stake.
If this war erupts into a wider regional conflagration, the comfortable summit meetings of G20, ASEAN, NATO and SCO will not be seen for a long time.
Kashmir entangles five of the nine countries of the world that have nuclear weapons. Pakistan, India and China are directly involved. The United States has troops stationed a stone's throw away, in Afghanistan. And Russia's backyard is nearby.
Kashmiris are beautiful people. They are simple, mountain people. They have produced a Kashmiri Che Guevara--his name is Burhan Wani, a twenty-something who was hunted down and killed by Indian Army on July 8, 2016. His crime was to come on social media wearing military fatigues and encourage young Kashmiris to resist the ruthless Indian military occupation. It began when India invaded Kashmir in 1947.
The Indian army prevents peace-loving Indians and the world from solving the conflict. It refuses to honor the commitment of India's first prime minister, Nehru, to UN Security Council to allow Kashmiris to decide their fate through a UN-supervised referendum.
The Indian army claims Kashmir is a territorial dispute with Pakistan. In reality, it is a quest for freedom by Kashmiris, who want to decide whether they join India or Pakistan.
To prevent a nuclear holocaust, India should withdraw its army from Kashmir, free innocent prisoners in the infamous Tihar Jail, end censorship of the Internet and the media, and punish Indian soldiers responsible for blinding and killing hundreds and thousands of young Kashmiris, responsible for the mass graves, disappearances, and the use of rape as a tool to suppress an entire race.
There is no solution to Kashmir without restraining the Indian Army and implementing the UN Security Council resolution on a referendum in Kashmir--pretty much like the Brexit or the Scottish referendum.
Pull the Indian army out of Kashmir.
I leave you with the picture of four-year-old Zuhra Majeed. The Indian Army fired on her using pellet guns, injuring her legs and abdomen. This happened in the 21st century, in 2016. She is lucky she is alive.
