Stop Assad's crimes against humanity

As Syrian Americans we want to hold Assad accountable for the crimes against humanity he committed.

Since the war began in 2011, an estimated 400,000 Syrians have been killed, according to the United Nations. As of March 2017, more than 5 million Syrians have fled the country and 6.3 million people are displaced internally.
We urge our government to go further by grounding Syria's Air Force and creating a No-Fly Zone thereby disabling the regime's ability to commit further mass atrocities and war crimes. We stress that any strikes undertaken by the US and any other parties to the conflict must prioritize civilian protection. We have faith that this will allow the Syrian people to end the bloodshed, remove Assad, and bring about peace, security, and democracy.

This pressure is necessary to force Assad to come to a legitimate negotiating table, create the space for the development of democratic institutions in Syria, and relieves pressure on the opposition forces to enable them to partner with the US and other international governments to fight terrorism in Syria.
