President Biden signed an executive order to mitigate the harassment towards Asian Americans and provide support and increase the accessibility of hate crime information. However, there were more than 28 attacks reported and the police are doing everything they can to prevent it from happening but the crime rate continues to skyrocket. The United States needs to make stronger policies to protect its citizens from brutal assault in public because the current assault battery policy is not very targeted at keeping Asian Americans safe given the rise in Asian hate crimes during the pandemic. The government needs to take immediate actions by implementing policies to prevent  Asian hate crimes from happening. The purpose of this petition is to make the state government and federal government feel a sense of urgency to modify their current policy in combating Asian hate crimes.
