Opioid consideration based on medical necessity.

There are so many people that are negatively impacted by the new laws regarding opioid use. Law makers are not taking into consideration the people who need these medications just to try to function like a normal person. These people include patients with migraines, fibromyalgia, cancer, lupus, chronic pain, and so many other illnesses. These new laws are meant to prevent drug abuse but they are only going to push people with legitimate pain into illegal drug use out of desperation. This needs to change. If you have a pain diagnosis there should be an exception or allowance to allow for these medications to be prescribed as needed and in up to 30 day supplies as many people with these illnesses can not get out so often. We should not be made to feel like criminals for having a legitimate health condition. Please sign and share thank you.
