in todays day an age there is to much violent crimes to where innocent people are being killed. And I refuse to die in a helpless cowardly way on the floor begging for my or my childs lifes. I wont b that victim . I choose not to be.but I would like to keep my right to choose to not be a helpless victim. there is evil in tha world and if evil has agun then, I think us felones with nonviolent crimes should have one to ,to be able to protect ourselves and our loved ones .                                                                      "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed" , we should not have to give up the one thing that makes us feel secure in todays society.                               I feel that jus because we committed a crime and went to prison shouldn't stop us from being able to get liscensed to carry a weapon when our crimes had nothing to do with a fire arm.                                                                                                          I feel that if this petition was to get passed into a law that it will have a more secure an safer  impact on the community, due to tha fact that there will be a more variety of  people who feel tha same way about the 'open carry law' .
