Election after election, individuals are forced to take time off from work to vote. Waiting times for election polls can take hours and the limitations of the workday prevent eligible voters from voting. By making "Election day" a Federal Holiday, we are able to increase voter participation and prevent work hours from limiting individuals right to vote. Let the people carry out their civic duty and make Election day a Federal holiday.
