I have been an educator for 28 years and once funding started being cut in the state of Oklahoma it hasn’t stopped. Education funding needs to be a higher priority for the children’s sakes.

I am a public school music teacher. I spend about $5,000 a year for supplies in my music classes. I hope that we put an end to the red tape needed to jump in order to get much needed money to art and music classes.

My daughter is a teacher and I have witnessed first hand the personal cost for her and her fellow teachers to provide desperately needed supplies for their classrooms. Needed funding seems to always go elsewhere... rather than to educating the citizens of tomorrow.

I know lots of teachers who pay for their student school supplies. This should not be.
