Recent events have purged Haiti in turmoil impacting over 11 million people living abroad. The crisis in Haiti demands the immediate attention from the people of the United States and deliberate action from our federal government. The people of Haiti need our help, and as Americans we stand ready to do our part.

We are requesting that the Biden administration:

  • Create an easier pathway for Haitians seeking political asylum by lifting the refugee admission ceiling;
  • Temporarily halt the deportation of Haitian migrants from the U.S.; and
  • Supply the people of Haiti with humanitarian aid in the form of food assistance and additional COVID-19 vaccine doses.

Until we can guarantee the safety of our Haitian friends, their families and loved ones, we ask that the Biden Administration consider these requests. The United States is home to more than two million Haitian Americans. In the economic metro hubs of New York and Miami and across the nation, the Haitian American community contributes to the health, prosperity and culture of our great country. Moreover, Haitian-Americans served en masse as health care workers and frontline essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Join us in this humanitarian effort by signing this petition today!
