My son, Beau Vaughan was sentenced to 25 yrs plus 5 yrs in a halfway house for conspiracy to distribute marijuana.  He has be confined for over 10 yrs and is housed in Oakdale FCI in Louisiana.  With the current sentencing being handed down to felons with much more serious offenses I feel that this is an extreme amount of time.

With him being in Oakdale, LA, I haven't been able to see him in over 4 yrs due to distance, health and the pandemic.  He was refused a transfer before the pandemic due to "prison population management".

During his incarceration he has finished his Associate Degree, became a person trainer, taught health and fitness and held a job the entire time.  Currently he is working in the commissary which is a position of trust.  He has had exemplary behavior and hasn't had any disciplinary actions against him.

I'm asking that he either be granted a pardon or even a commutation of his sentence.  His father and I are in our 70's and would love to see him home while we're still alive.  I feel that the 10 yrs he has served is a fair sentence.   He has two brothers and twin nieces that he has never seen that are now 5 yrs old.  He also has another niece and a nephew that he sends books to regularly.  Please help me bring him home to his family.

Thank you
