All American workers whether employees or those self- employed should be eligible to receive the full benefits of the updated FMLA Stimulus package regarding wages that was presented on March 16, 2020.

   Self-employed relates to those who are sole proprietors, contractors and/or sub contractors with no employees, or have been classified as such by their employer.  To disallow these Americans the same benefits simply because they work for themselves is undermining the American dream of owning and running your own business. These hard working Americans will feel the loss of income two fold, from lost revenue as well as continuing to be obligated to pay for self employment and liability insurances. 

  We are all in this together. Please sign the petition to allow Americans who are self employed to be eligible for relief through FMLA stimulus relating the the Coronavirus. Everyone one of us know someone who is self employed. Perhaps you know a carpenter, a consultant, an independent truck driver, or a handyman, or your landscaper. Please give these workers your support.
