While I agree that people should get vaccinated, it is not the place of the government to mandate vaccination. Especially when the mandate is via executive order

The government is not a private employer. Departments of the government have collectively bargained contracts with the US Congress. The executive branch has no place implementing any rules governing the employment of federal workers. Congress makes laws, not the executive branch.

The government does not have the right to mandate that any individual get the vaccine, including federal employees. Federal employees are public servants and not privately employed. If a private employer wants to set up a rule, they can because they exist independently of the government. The government has to pass laws to enact rules for its employees. It is certainly not at the whim of the executive branch. 

They are threatening negative repercussions for not being vaccinated when they didn't even have the right to demand vaccination status before the executive order was passed.

I urge the members of the House and Senate to overturn this overreach of executive authority. This is not just about personal rights and freedoms but, also, the way our government is supposed to function.
