On the 24th of February, 2022 Russia “President Putin” started a war in Ukraine. Russian forces have invaded most parts of the Country. In the middle of February Russia had 190,000 troops on the border of Ukraine, now there are around 150,000 Russian soldiers in Ukraine. This war started by Russia has caused so much loss of life and destruction in Ukraine. The population of Ukraine is 41,650,000, these people just want peace and freedoms that we as Americans take for granted sometimes. We must do all that we can to stop this war in Ukraine (if it stops in Ukraine). We must help the people of Ukraine. 

The one thing the majority of the world is good about, is helping one another. We can help Ukraine and Europe, by banning any and all imports of any oil and gas from Russia. No more oil and gas from Russia! Energy is Russia’s number one export, and where they make the most of their money. If we stand up and demand the ban on oil and gas imports from Russia this will hurt Russia “President Putin” more than anything else we have done so far. If we ban the imports this will have a huge cost to the Russian government and they will not have a choice but to leave Ukraine. If we do not stop these imports now, Russia will not stop with Ukraine. 

I understand, by doing this that it may cost us a little more at the pump in the short term. However in the long term, we will be back to energy independent, helping the Ukrainian people and stopping Russia’s war in Europe. I am a husband and a father of six wonderful children, I know every penny counts. However I do understand we can not sit by and watch the Ukrainian people die and have their freedoms taken away. I understand that this war may expand past Ukraine, we can not help fund Russia in this.

Please help ban Russian imports on oil and gas.
