Bob Baffert is a well known racehorse trainer with (as of November 5, 2020) 30 violations. These violations consist of drugging his horses. Baffert’s actions have been brushed off by the entirety of the industry for far too long.

Just today one of Baffert’s horses has won the Kentucky Derby. Baffert consistently displays poor horsemanship with little respect for his fellow trainers and the horses. Bob Baffert is one of the reasons the racing industry is viewed in such a negative light, and as an avid supporter of the industry i feel it is my responsibility to fight for this man to be held accountable.

Baffert is a rich, white man who has not once been adequately penalized for his animal abuse and racing regulation violations (if his punishments, restrictions, fines, and suspensions HAD been adequate he would not have a WHOPPING amount of violations). If Baffert has at least 30 violations that had been caught how many have gone unnoticed? What are his horses subjected too at home? We need to stand against Bob Baffert. For the real trainers. For the jockeys. For the owners. But most importantly, for the horses. 

Regardless of if you support the sport of horse racing or not, please sign this. This may only be a small step in cleaning up the industry, but it is a step nonetheless. We will no longer be silent and complacent. Baffert needs to face the repercussions of his actions and cruelty. The racing industry needs to do better.
