Ari Nadin started this petition to President of the United States

In 2018, 3,939,409 citizens voted in the Georgia gubernatorial election, representing around 57% of eligible voters. The state official responsible for conducting the election, Brian Kemp, was also one of the candidates, and hundreds of thousands of eligible voters faced systemic obstacles to voting. Mr. Kemp won the election by around 50,000 votes.

The losing candidate, Stacey Abrams, chose to continue her career in public service by starting Fair Fight Action, an organization devoted to fighting voter suppression throughout the country, with an emphasis on Georgia and Texas.

In 2020, almost five million Georgians voted in the United State Presidential election, representing around 68% of eligible voters. In the Senate runoff, the turnout was around 4.5 million, or 61%. By any measure, Stacey Abrams and Fair Fight Action have succeeded in their mission to fight voter suppression and increase voter turnout in Georgia. Exercising the franchise is a core element of American Democracy. By empowering hundreds of thousands of Americans to exercise this fundamental right, Stacey Abrams has earned the nation's highest civilian honor, and our gratitude.
