As of March 30, 2020, China has placed a ban on the shipment of n95 masks. They are responsible for the production of the majority of healthcare supplies for the US and the rest of the world. 

Meanwhile in the United States - roughly 280 million masks in warehouses around the US were purchased by foreign buyers on Monday alone. A FEMA spokesperson said the agency "has not actively encouraged or discouraged US companies from exporting overseas."  - (Source: Rachel Maddow) 

Healthcare workers across the country in the US are being forced to reuse gloves, n95 respirators, and surgical masks due to a nationwide shortage. These healthcare workers are risking their lives every day to help those affected by COVID-19, but are getting sick, and DYING, due to not getting the protection that they need. 

Meanwhile, counterfeit scams of masks from abroad are running rampant, and price gouging for masks and other protective equipment is out of control. Ill-fitting and counterfeit supplies are being used by doctors and nurses out of desperation, and these supplies are not providing adequate protection for emergency healthcare workers. 

********PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION TO ENCOURAGE OUR PRESIDENT TO TAKE THE FOLLOWING IMMEDIATE ACTIONS:*******

1. To enforce & broaden his use of Defence Protection Act - which demands US companies to make neccessary supplies during national crisis, and enforces rules to limit price gouging. 

2. To place a complete ban or limits on US distributors/manufacturers shipping their medical supplies outside the US.

3. Demand these restrictions stay in place and US manufacturers & distributors ship to hospitals and acute care facilities EXCLUSIVELY WITHIN THE UNITED STATES, until every hospital and acute care facility in the country has the protective equipment they need.

HOSPITALS ARE RUNNING OUT of supplies, we cannot afford to wait.
