As a US citizen who married a woman/Man living in India and their immigration process is stuck due to this pandemic, we are worried that has been over a year to finish the immigration process for our spouses. Due to Covid Consulates and Embassies are working at a low pace and also they need to be a part of lockdown and Embassies and Consulates are unable to held Immigration interviews.
Also while the Immigration process is ongoing spouses of US citizens can't apply for any travel visa to the US.
Government should see an option to grant US citizen spouses temporary emergency visas to travel and meet their husbands and wives or love so they stand mentally morally with them as a family.
Especially in India, we have a two-time lockdown in 12 months period and the Mumbai consulate is one of the busiest consulates in the world.
We appeal please find any way to make families together in this hard time as soon as possible.
Also in this Pandemic Government should come up with expediting the immigration process.
