Recently, many companies have implemented mechanics which are essentially gambling. They are designed and targeted at vulnerable children and adults.Gambling in video games involves purchasing of in game items called "lootboxes".purchased with real money, these lootboxes provide random "luck of the draw" attributes which can lead to ones real money being lost, or earned.
Even a mild amount of research will show that micro-transactions like these in video games mimic and copy real life gambling. Yet only China has ever introduced and passed laws to force companies to display the odds and formulas of winning. Lootboxes are gambling, and should be regulated and restricted as such.
