Stop fooling people in the name of fairness creams
This petition had 15 supporters
Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Vidya Balan, Siddharth Malhotra, Sonam Kapoor, John Abrahan with a massive fan following continue to fool people in the name of "fairness changing fortunes".
In an already racist society like India, where South Indians are called black, outsiders from Kenya and Nigeria are beaten up and potential brides are being rejected just for the color of their skin, it's ridiculous that just for a few bucks, these celebrities further empower the youth of India to think in the wrong direction that the color of their skin has a big say in what they make in their lives.
Mard hoke ladkiyon wali fairness cream etc and other ads to build a $20 billion industry which is making all the money on fooling the youth of India to buy these creams to look fairer than what they are.
We request people to sign this petition and make a strong point to disallow such ads and the distribution of such creams / lotions claiming to do the impossible and in any way link it to one's success.
