Under the Covit 19/ Corona Virus Lockdown regulations beauty salons, hairdressers and spas are not permitted to open. As the Lockdown is likely to continue or the pandemic to reach its peak in South Africa by September 2020 only, it would mean that neither health workers  nor the public would have access to hairdressers, or spas for any kind of service. In a time of great stress and crisis, where health workers especially would benefit from some form of relaxation, surely you can see the value of offering them some kind of stress relief valve in the 5-6 month window .

It is inhumane to prevent women and men from accessing basic facilities such as having your hair cut or a neck and shoulder massage after a horror of a day in a medical facility to offer some relief. [We would all look wild and unkept after 5 months of no hair cuts] Have you contemplated that very likely the health care workers who died in the Corona Pandemic died because their immune system was down as they were offered no form of stress relief or breaks.

Work, work, work and never good news or a break. Mainly our day is filled with news only reports on the bad and the ugly.

It is the responsibility of government to ensure that roosters are prepared for health workers that give them time off and then provide access to a form of stress release such as a back neck and shoulder massage that will take away the tension. You cannot fight a battle with a depleted work force. They need to be given time out leading up to the epicentre. 

My intention is to try and raise funds or sponsorships to " back a buddy " in the form of a health worker for a spa treatment but this can only happen if President Ramaphosa opens up the beauty industry to bring a little bit of sunshine back into the lives of the people. All the negative news has left us all depleted and ready to give up...depressed and unhappy. Now is the time to offer sunshine and some relaxation. Please support my initiative of getting the President of South Africa to open up spas and hair salons etc and secondly getting sponsorships for spa treatments for doctors and  nurses and support staff that are bogged down by the Corona pandemic.
