Diacetyl, a dangerous flavoring agent found in many flavored e-cigarettes, can cause bronchiolitis obliterans, otherwise known as “popcorn lung”. Symptoms include cough and shortness of breath, which sounds unalarming at first, but upon further exposure to the chemicals, can cause more disabling symptoms.
A study shows that severe exposure to diacetyl and other harmful chemicals resulting to “popcorn lung” can cause skin inflammation and even worse, mucosal surfaces on your eyes, nose and throat! Because the chemical is primarily used to give candy-like flavors to e-cigarettes and attract young smokers, many minors are in danger of severe lung damage.
But you can put a stop to it!
By adding your name and signing this petition, you can enforce a halt to e-cigarettes, thus keeping Filipino minors safe and toxin-free!
