The main problem is our country was given a name and it was not something our History called us. Our Country has a rich Culture, Tradition, and Great History. 

Change the Name to BHARAT instead of INDIA.

Bharat has a reverberation in its sound. Bharat is a Mantra. This is the Ganga Narmada Punya Theertham. 

The time is ripe to recognize the country by its original name rather than its "English" name. The plea revolves around Article 1 will ensure "the citizens of this country to get over the colonial past." 

The removal of the English name, though appears symbolic, will instill a sense of pride in our nationality, especially for future generations. In fact, replacing India with Bharat would justify the hard-fought freedom achieved by our ancestors.

Bharat was strengthened by the slogan promoted by Mahatma Gandhi as a unifying call for the country, Bharat Mata Ki Jai. Kamalapati Tripathi said: "Sir, I am enamored of the historic name Bharat. The gods have been remembering the name of this country in the heavens."
