lauren stoll started this petition to President of Guyana Irfaan Ali

Guyana is a newly crowned oil producing nation located next door to Venezuela and Brazil. The country recently installed a new president following a contentious election and putrid racial divisions among its people. Racial slurs which have continued mainly between the Indian and African population have attracted international attention with the US, OAS and EU calling on President Irfaan Ali to address the division among the people of Guyana. Despite the ongoing escalated tensions and  suspicion of the government's motives towards diverse groups the new President has not come out to denounce Racism in Guyana. I believe that if Irfaan Ali government addresses Racism with urgency this will lay the foundation for social wellbeing of all the people he swore to include in the country's progress.  Sign this petition to call on the President of Guyana Irfaan Ali to denounce Racism in Guyana so that healing can begin.
