In my opinion, and I believe I speak for others as well, the new “revised” schedule has taken a turn for the worse. Now there will be more conflicts with sports, the student parking lot will be even more crowded with parents trying to pick up their kids, and what happens to office hours? I think this schedule does not hear the whole side of the story, especially the upper division students who constantly struggle with the over crowded student parking lot after school. It’s called a student parking lot for a reason. Even though covid has helped creat this problem, as we slowly shift away from the pandemic this should allow people to carpool again which is why the complaints about not being able to pick one’s child up at the same time becomes irrelevant. Also the home room idea is kind of an L. What academic value does it add to a student’s day at school and why is it 70 minutes. Even some teachers I’ve talked to about the new schedule  have issues with it. Ending school at 3:10 posses a problem not only for school traffic but for getting home traffic. For people who live far away the 1:50 dismals saved valuable time and allow for a lot more to get done after school. There was no need to change the schedule.
