Pardon Edward Snowden

As an American citizen Edward Snowden took a great risk when he revealed the United States' capacity to gather near unlimited intelligence on American citizens. What Snowden did was alert the nation to how their rights were blatantly being compromised by the United States government. With nearly every keystroke being logged and phone records being tapped it has become nearly impossible for citizens in the United States to meaningfully oppose their government for fear of defamation. The true issue from this point is not how to deal with Snowden, but how do we react to a government that has betrayed our trust and our person hood. Snowden deserves the right to return to his home and to his wife and child; he is not a thief, a traitor, or worthy of execution. He is an American citizen deserving of his constitutionally guaranteed rights.
