The continued elongation of the of the political and administrative contraption of the sole administrator in the NDDC in total defiance of the NDDC Act, 2000 by the present FG and the supervising Minister of Niger Delta Affairs since 2019 is quite worrisome, scandalous and highly disturbing to the yearnings and aspirations of the people of Niger Delta Region. 

The executive rascality and recklessness foisted on the NDDC has tremendously stifled the growth and development of the region, since this illegal contraption was enacted. 

It is our appeal to the President and C-in-C, and the Hon. Minister of Niger Delta Affairs to urgently, without further delays terminate the appointment of the Sole Administrator of NDDC in the person of Efiong O. Akwa as it inures and offends the extant provisions of the NDDC Act. 

NAPPDRR wishes to join all patriotic progressive forces in the Niger Delta Region and Nigeria, especially the IYC, the AREWA consultative group to demand for the sack of Effiong Akwa, the sole administrator and constitute the substantive Nddc board in line with the provisions of the law. 

It is our hope that the President and C-in-C and the Hon. Minister will listen to the overwhelming cries of the impoverished and dehumanized people of the Niger Delta Region.
