Susana Sandino started this petition to President Mike Martin and

There is a huge problem at FGCU that has not been addressed properly. On November 2, 2020 a crime has occurred. An individual, who has been found but not identified to the public, implemented multiple posters of anti-Semitic and white supremacy propaganda on FGCU building Edwards Hall.

The negligent response that President Mike Martin and the Board of FGCU is unacceptable. They refuse to release the identity of the criminal responsible for these actions, or charge them with any hate speech or vandalism charges. There needs to be justice to those who no longer feel safe to step foot on campus. Refusing to identify the person responsible make POC and diverse student feel unsafe. If we do not know who this person is, how can we take necessary precautions to avoid this individual outside of FGCU. This person is roaming free while we stay home in fear is wrong.

We need accountability, charges implemented, and a better plan on how to avoid these occurrences and make our students feel safe with necessary safety measures, alerts, notifications, and of course proper criminal charges towards anyone who promotes white supremacy, anti- Semitic, and racial injustice.

Sign to get the Lee County Sheriff Office and President Mike Martin to correct themselves.
