We ask that you use your voice to sign our petition. We are petitioning the schools “safety shuttle” a late night shuttle that goes from campus to ADAMSONS square only where predominantly white students party and virtually no black/students of color go at the time the shuttle starts. We asked Last year if they could extend this to the apartments to make sure more black and students of color got home safely, create less dui’s, and late night incidents. This was ignored by school officials. We asked again monday after this incident happened they did nothing but LITERALLY remind us the shuttle only goes to Adamson SQUARE. Via a blast on social media,email, and the LiveSafe App ,the latter two officials are aware is a lackluster method of communication to students but refuse to take initiative in finding new methods. Formally, we want the University to extend it’s safety shuttle to the complexes of Carrolton Crossings, The Villages, Timbercrest, River Pointe, Westwoods, The Reserve, The Brumbelow, and University Lofts. We expect no kickback from these complexes as this increases safety on your premises as well, and we have asked for safety increases. We DEMAND this extension is prepared for execution no later than November 15th 2021. Thank you for your time.
