Designate January 29th as National Child Sex Trafficking Awareness Day

This effort is intended to direct increased attention to the issue of domestic minor sex trafficking. Currently, the blue ribbon for human trafficking along with January as Human Trafficking Awareness Month serves to cover Trafficking of all types, including labor trafficking, adult sex trafficking, and organ trading. Due to the aggravated nature of child exploitation, we believe specific focus should be given to youth who are exploited in an effort to devise strategic interventions that speak specifically to the complex factors that increase their vulnerability to predators.
