The highest elected office in the United States is currently occupied by a dishonest, corrupt, self-absorbed, and possibly mentally deranged criminal; Donald J. Trump. 

Since losing the popular vote by more than 3 million votes, Mr. Trump has violated the law by using his power as President to engage other nations in the internal political affairs of the United States, in violation of US Law. 

He has committed crimes against humanity by specifically ordering the mistreatment of asylum seekers at the southern US border leading to serious illness and death from unsanitary conditions. 

He has misused the bully pulpit of his office to intimidate witnesses, to attack private citizens and to foster neo-Nazi and White Supremacist ideas and conspiracy theories. 

He has abdicated the traditional US role of leadership in world affairs by unilaterally withdrawing the US from international agreements like the Paris Accords, the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces treaty and he has consistently attacked the international bodies that have maintained world peace for decades. 

Donald Trump is not fit to be President of the United States, he is incapable of putting the well being of the nation above his own interests and his continued occupation of the highest seat of government in the United States is a threat to the US and to the world. 

We, the undersigned, encourage the world community under the leadership of the European Union to consider economic sanctions against President Donald Trump, his business enterprises, his family and those who continue to put the Trump brand above the legitimate interests of the people of the United States.
