U.S. Suspend Aid to Uganda until Dr. Stella Nyanzi Freed

Uganda's Dictator of 31 years Gen. Yoweri Museveni who gets $750 million annually in U.S. aid has arrested Dr. Stella Nyanzi who criticized him and his wife Janet for corruption in several postings on social media.
Dr. Nyanzi says the Museveni regime reneged on its promise to provide sanitary pads to Ugandan school girls because millions of dollars are embezzled by the regime. As a result, many students miss valuable school days each month during their cycles. Museveni himself has a $50 million Gulfstream jet purchased with foreign aid money.
Nyanzi has been charged with "cyber harrasment" due to her social media postings. This is a scheme to silence Dr. Nyanzi by denying her right to freedom of expression and to eliminate dissent generally by the dictator. As the U.S. Department of State has already noted on April 10, 2017 to The Black Star News: "We are aware of the charges brought against Professor Stella Nyanzi. The United States has been clear regarding freedom of expression, including in Uganda. A society that is free, vibrant, and successful depends on the free flow of information and ideas."
The U.S. must now follow through and suspend aid to the dictatorship and demand the unconditional release of Dr. Nyanzi.
Aid to Uganda must be conditional on political reforms to end 31 years of dictatorship and socio-economic and political decay.
Dr. Nyanzi has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for reusable sanitary pads for Ugandan school girls
