Reduce The Use of Solitary Confinement
Reduce The Use of Solitary Confinement
Solitary confinement is a form of punishment used in prison facilities all across the United States. The prison officials are allowed to send inmates to these isolation units whenever they see fit. This allows the system to become very subjective and extremely bias. Along with the unfairness of reasoning behind solitary confinement there and are a lot of health risks that are involved. These health risks include hallucinations, anxiety, paranoia, difficulty thinking/concentrating, memory problems, issues with impulse control, depression and many more. It also leads hundreds of inmates to consider/attempt to take their own lives. That's why it's important we get signatures for this petition, to show how much we care and to make a difference in society's prison systems.
