Trump: Don't Stick Taxpayers with Your Business Expenses

Whereas you, Donald John Trump, 45th President of the United States, have refused to adhere to the precedent of divesting your ownership stake in multiple businesses, and
Whereas said refusal has created conditions under which "government agencies are forced to pay to support business operations that ultimately help to enrich the president himself" (Washington Post, February 3, 2017), and
Whereas your son, Eric Frederick Trump, recently made a trip to Uruguay on behalf of your business operations at a cost to taxpayers of $97,830, thus enriching you at taxpayers' expense, and, incidentally,
Whereas you have the unmitigated chutzpah to write off, by tax-avoidance tactics unavailable to persons of ordinary means, $916,000,000 in business losses, thus enabling you to skip out on, for some two decades, your obligation as a citizen to contribute to our nation's welfare, and, oh, BTW,
Whereas you have brazenly broken your promise to release your tax returns, and
Whereas the First Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees "the right of the people...to petition the Government for a redress of grievances," and
Whereas we, the people, justifiably hold a Universe-sized grievance toward you, the chief executive officer of our Government,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that we, the people, demand that, tout de suite, you remit a check payable to the United States Treasury in the amount of $97,830, and,
RESOLVED that, we the people, demand that, in future, you pay every peso and centavo of your own friggin' business expenses.
