Petitioning President of Brazil Dilma Rousseff

President Dilma Rousseff: The maned sloth is dying out. You can help!

  1. The maned sloth is an endangered species currently classified as vulnerable, which means that their population is less than 1000. The reason they are endangered is that excessive deforestation has taken their homes, and the over hunting of the sloth has killed many off. There needs to be counter actions against poachers who are hunting sloths. There also need to be a reduction in deforestation. We are asking the president to add the sloth to the protected species list to protect them from both of these harmful activates.  We all need to make an effort to make sure that the sloth does not disappear from the face of the earth.
